I haven’t been ‘single’ for the last 26 years – Esther Passaris

Seclusion and polygamy walk hand in hand, this is according to Esther Passaris, women Representative Nairobi County.

She took her time to respond to a Twitter follower who was curious whether she is single. Passaris stated being in polygamous marriage is why she is still single.

“I haven’t been ‘single’ for the last 26 years. When one is in a polygamous marriage she can attest and relate to singlehood based on the solitude lifestyle. When one is headstrong and not always submissive she relates to being more single than married,” posted Passaris.

Way back in 2018, the mother of two had an interview with serfine  Achieng .She talked of how she walked into her husband having lunch at a Nairobi hotel with another woman.

The vocal representative narrated on how she comfortably walked to the table and said ‘’hello darling’ ’she then narrates on how she later settled down on another table.

“I walked in, I greeted him and went back to my table. “When they later went home and the husband incurred why she never confronted her, she told him she can’t fight over a woman.


“I told him: ‘Darling, what did you want me to do? You wanted me to fight with you in public? I had a business lunch there, you had another woman… was it something I needed to fight for? Because a man is not my God, my God is only one. I cannot fight over a man,” added Passaris.

As if that is not enough passaris had more to attest.

The representative Esther passaris, said she recognizes other women in their lives.

“When I travel with my husband, I buy presents for the other women’s children, because we are in this situation already. We are many. I know love is emotive.


“You know what? My first husband is God. I am not going to fight over this man to the point that I destroy other women or their children. I think every woman should be like that,

“Ashazaa huko nje, are you going to let the other women’s children suffer? I fight for all women; I fight for all children, okay? Even if it is my husband with another woman out there! At the end of the day, ni mtoto wa bwanangu, ni ndugu ya watoto wangu.”
